Developed within a period of significant change and uncertainty, the exhibition takes as its starting point the inherent paradox within a capitalist system that is both dependent upon and threatened by technological progress.<\/strong><br><br>Today forms of labour, currency, commodities and the nature of consumption have been dramatically transformed by technologies that continue to evolve. Multinational information technology and e-commerce firms rank amongst the highest valued publicly traded companies. Information that is both abundant and infinitely replicable has become a valuable commodity that defies traditional economic principles where value is determined by scarcity. The artworks in\u00a0<em>Post-Capital\u00a0<\/em>variously explore the paradoxes, absurdities and ethical questions posed by post-industrial and perhaps post-capital economies.<br><br><strong>Artists<\/strong><br>Ei Arakawa, Mohamed Bourouissa, Cao Fei, Simon Denny, Lara Favaretto, GCC, Guan Xiao, Shadi Habib Allah, Roger Hiorns, Oliver Laric, Liz Magic Laser, Katja Novitskova, Laura Owens, Yuri Pattison, Sondra Perry, Josephine Pryde, Nick Relph, Cameron Rowland, Hito Steyerl, Martine Syms, Nora Turato.<br><br><strong><em>Post-Capital: A Reader<\/em><\/strong><br>A fully illustrated exhibition catalogue including a curator\u2019s essay and texts by James Bridle, Heike Geissler, Richard Seymour, Hito Steyerl, McKenzie Wark, and Shoshana Zuboff is available online at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/email.e-flux-systems.com\/campaigns\/gh823dftyye4d\/track-url\/hh5566jxvqab8\/1a7806b145fbe8e88a48fa9690d8f6ede872d97f\" target=\"_blank\">mudamstore.com<\/a>.<br><br><strong>Public programme<\/strong><br>The exhibition is accompanied by a programme of performance, lectures, screenings and workshops including contributions from C\u00e9dric Durand, Lara Favaretto, Helen Hester, Nick Srnicek, Martine Syms, Nora Turato and Jackie Wang.
